Microsoft Copilot is the new AI assistant for all Microsoft programmes, including Word. With this tool, you can easily draft, revise, summarise and improve documents. In this blog article, we explain what Copilot can help with in Word.
To use Microsoft Copilot in Word and other Microsoft applications, you will need a licence. We are happy to help you with this. Contact us for more information.
Copilot can help you draw up all kinds of documents. Think of a vacancy for an open position in your company, a report about the past quarter based on figures from Excel, or a text for your website.
See how it works.
By starting an empty document and communicating in it with Copilot through a prompt, Copilot creates the desired content.
A prompt is a question to Copilot after which the tool gets to work, for example:
The more specific and clear you draft the prompt, the more detailed Copilot can draft a draft text. For example, if you have a summary or list from which Copilot can work, add it to your prompt.
You can also specify which tone Copilot should use. Should the document be drafted formally or informally? Should it be businesslike or accessible?
Is the outcome still not how you envisaged? Then you can always suggest a prompt to Copilot to improve it, for example:
Have you drafted a document yourself, but are still not completely satisfied? By letting Copilot review your documents, you will come to new insights and perhaps a new perspective. You ask Copilot to review and improve the document.
See how that works.
The AI tool can also summarise documents for you, this is quite easy. For example, ask:
Or adjust the tone:
Microsoft Copilot can save you a lot of time drafting, editing and summarising documents. It can also help you improve creativity, implement your writing style consistently and increase the quality of your output.
In any case, we are excited about the possibilities and, on top of that, Microsoft Copilot is safe to use. You can read more about that here.
